Bart JW d’Ancona, a Dutch National, has over 25 years of experience in the offshore financial services and trust industry, acquired in Jersey, the Netherlands Antilles, British Virgin Islands and Luxembourg. In Jersey he started at ABN Bank Ltd., and moved over to ABN Trust as a trust administrator. He then moved to the British Virgin Islands to work with Citco, and with the same company was promoted to Assistant Managing Director in Luxembourg. Bart was then appointed the Managing Director at Bayard International Trust Ltd. (now Equity Trust). He was instrumental in the formation of AMS Trust (Luxembourg) S.A. in 1998. In 2003, the affiliation with AMS was changed to SHRM Financial Services Limited, which was the affiliated Trust Company of the BVI law firm Smith-Hughes, Raworth & McKenzie. Bart has since taken an active role in the development and expansion of the SHRM BVI office, where he is now the resident Managing Director.
